I’m so glad you’re here.
Life has a way of filling every spare moment. Between family, work, ministry, and the constant noise around us, it’s easy to go months—or even years—without ever truly slowing down. I think we all know that feeling well.
That’s why MMSPA exists.
I hope you’ll head home with practical tools, fresh ideas, and a notebook full of resources. But more than anything, I hope you’ll head home rested.
My prayer is that Come Away gives you time to step away from the pace of ministry, spend time with people who understand what you do, worship together, enjoy God’s creation, laugh often, and return home renewed.
Whether you’re coming by yourself or with your spouse, I truly believe these few days can be a gift—an opportunity to step away from the ordinary and be reminded of the God who says, “Come away…and rest.”

John Meador
LEAD PASTOR
John Meador has served as a lead pastor for more than 40 years and has led Cross City Church in Euless, Texas, since 2006. Profoundly deaf since childhood, John has experienced God's grace in transforming adversity into purpose—a message that shapes both his preaching and his book, God's Not Done With You. His passion is helping people discover that God is never finished writing their story. John and his wife, Kim, have been married for 48 years and are the parents of six grown children and grandparents to two grandchildren. -

Sharon Smith
EXECUTIVE VOLUNTEER/SALT DIRECTOR
Sharon Smith has been a dedicated member of Cross City Church for more than 40 years and has spent countless hours investing in the people and ministries of the church. She serves as Executive Volunteer overseeing Guest Central, directs SALT (Servant Approach to Leadership Training), Cross City's two-year servant leadership development program, and teaches numerous Precept Bible study classes. Sharon's heart for hospitality, discipleship, and excellence is evident in all she does. She and her husband, Claude, have three children, seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. -

Ashlee Garcia
STAND FOR LIFE SENIOR MANAGER
Ashlee Garcia serves as Stand for Life Senior Manager for the ERLC. Ashlee is a graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. She and her husband Greg reside in Texas, and they have one daughter. -

Mia Kelso
HOST/EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT
Mia Kelso serves as the Executive Assistant to the Lead Pastor at Cross City Church, where she enjoys helping create meaningful experiences that encourage and serve others. In addition to her work at the church, she owns a private violin studio and enjoys helping young musicians pursue excellence on their instrument. When she's away from the office, you'll likely find her running, baking sourdough, traveling, tackling DIY projects, or proving that a well-organized spreadsheet really can bring a little more peace to the world.
