Mia Kelso

Mia Kelso

Conference Coordinator

Mia Kelso serves as Executive Assistant to Lead Pastor John Meador at Cross City Church in Euless, Texas. Her role includes managing the church’s master calendar, coordinating ministry events, supporting church leadership, and helping bring both large initiatives and everyday details together with excellence and care.

Mia is the coordinator and host of Come Away and has enjoyed thoughtfully designing a conference experience that offers meaningful professional development while intentionally making room for rest, encouragement, and genuine connection. She hopes every attendee leaves with helpful ideas, renewed purpose, and the reassurance that the work they do matters.

John Meador

John Meador

Lead Pastor, Cross City Church

John Meador has served as a lead pastor for more than 40 years and has led Cross City Church in Euless, Texas, since 2006. Cross City is an intergenerational, multiethnic congregation that has pioneered numerous kingdom initiatives impacting thousands of lives.

Part of John’s story is marked by adversity. A severe childhood illness caused irreversible hearing loss, leaving him profoundly deaf. Through that challenge, he has experienced God’s grace in powerful ways and has seen God transform disappointment into hope and purpose.

John is passionate about proclaiming the gospel, equipping believers, and encouraging ministry leaders to faithfully embrace the work God has entrusted to them.

Sharon Smith

Sharon Smith

Executive Volunteer & SALT Director

Sharon Smith has been a dedicated member of Cross City Church for more than 40 years. She currently serves as Executive Volunteer overseeing Guest Central, where she helps cultivate a welcoming environment marked by warmth, care, and excellence.

Sharon also serves as Director of SALT, Cross City’s two-year Servant Approach to Leadership Training program. She has a deep love for Scripture and discipleship and has taught numerous Precept Bible study classes throughout her years of ministry.

Sharon and her husband, Claude, have three children, seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. She considers it a privilege to invest in others and encourage them as they grow in biblical knowledge, leadership, and faithful service.

Ashlee Garcia

Ashlee Garcia

Senior Manager, Stand for Life

Ashlee Garcia serves as Senior Manager for Stand for Life, an initiative of the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission. Through her work, she helps equip churches and individuals to approach important issues with biblical conviction, compassion, and a commitment to the dignity of every person.

Ashlee is a graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Her desire is to be continually changed by Christ, to live with Him at the center of her life, and to encourage others to do the same.

She and her husband, Greg, who serves as a student minister, reside in Texas with their daughter, Audrey.
